Tug of war;
YIPPEEE!
back from "challenge your limit", it's an youthdna event. felt REALLY physically and mentally challenged! hohoho! ((:
well, shall tell more about the highlights now.the first station we had is tug of war. sound so interesting right?it's my first time playing it anyway. and well , my team is in disadvantage due to the manpower we have; 1 guy and 10 gurls, what do you tink? our opponent on the other hand had equal mixture of guys and gurls, so they had the upper edge.teehees.but seriously, i felt that my team fought real hard though we're made up with majority of gurls,really! we tried our very best to keep our balance and PULL the rope with all our force.GURLS POWER man! BUT........
we still failed to win our opponent whom i think,got the strength like an buffalo man!
okay.so we played tug of war, and many other games. these requires teamwork,though tiring but was FUN! (( :

actually through this event, i learnt sth.
during the grand finale, the top 4 team played tug of war and winning team will walk away with $300 cash. DI and NP got a close fight over the first place. i saw how both team really fight and cling on to the rope. i clearly remember the expression of Sam; the 'i-m-not-going-to-let-go-the-rope-no-matter-what' look.ha!
the atmosphere is tense; at least to me. my hair were all standing up cos it's really very exciting!
Sam and his team effort of perservance paid off ! they won DI though DI initally were in the leading position, close shave of winning.yeah,this is your reward when you perservere.
if you wanna fight, fight hard; real hard.
there's a point of time whereby sam fell,yet i still see him clinging tightly to the rope and pulling,this qns just dawned on me :
will you perserve as hard as he is doing now if you're having a tug of war,one to one,with satan?
Hmm.
i know how it feels playing tug of war; i feel weak and helpless especially when ur opponent seems to be taking control of the rope,the momentum and everything.
sometimes i felt as if im having tug of war with satan; those rollercoaster ride,those temptations and sins etc. i do harbour thoughts of letting go the rope and gave up cos it's mentally and physically demanding, but i had realise that if i've cling on to the rope abit longer,pull even harder, i'll gain the victory.
just like when team A and team B competes, though team A is always the one pulling, this might not mean that they're going to win for sure. as long as team B keeps their feet firm on ground, cling on tightly to the rope and defend, they still got a chance of revival. the reason being is that team A will get tired and when they are tired after so much attempt of pulling with all their might,they'll lose grip, and ha! that'll be the best opportunity for team B to pull and win, isnt it?
same goes to having a tug of war with satan. no matter how many temptations satan throw to you or even try to put little tiny thoughts into ur mind of giving up, as long as you stand firm and cling on to Jesus, you'll win; it's just about the timing. if you're going to be persistent and firm standing in the righteous side, there's nth the satan can do, yes, no matter how hard they try.

So what're you going to do if you're having tug of war with satan next time? will you cling on tightly to God or is it just going to be another lip service and not walk the talk?
